MetalStream is a private company registered in Labuan, Malaysia. We issue security tokens fully backed by physical metal, from which we finance mining developments while offering subscribers incredible value.
Blockchain meets Mining
MetalStream is a newly formed company which applies blockchain technology to the mining sector. The founders had previously worked together on related projects and are drawn from mining, technology and capital market backgrounds. The result is an innovative and safe business model that benefits both our suppliers and token subscribers.
The company is incorporated in the Labuan International Business & Finance Centre, an independent offshore financial jurisdiction under the purview of the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia and fully regulated by the Labuan Financial Services Authority.
The company addresses inherent weaknesses in the junior mining sector, which currently offers extremely limited and punitive financing options for junior mining companies
In disrupting this sector, the company is able to offer its security token subscribers incredible value, whilst maintaining safety and liquidity.
The company has no debt and is therefore utilizes subscription funds to honour its obligations with suppliers. Our contracts further ensure mine financing is utilized only for mine operations.
The company is highly selective of the mining operators with whom it agrees forward purchasing contracts. It values sound, ethical and transparent operators and applies those same values to itself.
All of the mine operators with whom the company has agreed or is negotiating forward purchse contracts are public, listed and regulated, North American corporations with mining projects in low-risk and mining-friendly jurisdictions.
The MetalStream Model
MetalStream is issuing MSGLD as part of its mission to build long term, sustainable mining ecosystems. We leverage emerging technology to offer mining companies a financing alternative to fund accelerated development and production, and offering investors an attractive return.
Liquidity, safety and value to all participants
MetalStream negotiates forward purchase contracts for gold with mining development companies, and then uses the gold delivered under these contracts to issue MSGLD security tokens backed by and redeemable for gold. MetalStream buys the gold at a substantial discount to the spot price of gold, and passes on the bulk of that discount to the buyer of MSGLD.
The beauty of the MetalStream model is that it benefits all stakeholders - mine operators get access to an equitable non-dilutive finance option, subscribers get incredible value and the company can secure profitable margins for its shareholders.
The model allows for the tokenization of no more than 12.5% of established, in-ground metal resources at any one individual project, thus eliminating any risk from overestimation of the economic resource. This also leaves the vast majority of the resource available to the operator to derive its own profits.
The model integrates blockchain technology with an industry that has relied on difficult and expensive analogue solutions that do not benefit all parties equally.
The model also provides for the acquisition of bullion reserves to allow for early redemptions. All bullion held now and in future will have a minimum fineness of 99.5% and will be held in reputable and approved storage houses.
The MSGLD security token gives subscribers a safe, liquid and low cost method of investing in and holding gold at incredible value for money.
